“My personal mantra in this adventure called life is keep learning, stay relevant and be curious.”
More About Me.
I am a woman who has encountered many twists and turns throughout
I believe each of us has unique talents and abilities and how we meet our challenges determines our level of joy and fulfillment in our life’s choices. I also believe that we do not succeed alone. I personally have benefited from making strong connections, being open to new experiences and perspectives, listening and learning, and taking risks to try something new. I have experienced winning and losing, failure and success, grief, joy and many, many blessings along the way.
How Did I Get Here?
Education has been continuous after receiving higher ed degrees from the University of Georgia (B.S. Consumer Sciences) and Georgia State University (M.Ed. Community Counseling). I earned a basic Economic Development certificate (UNC, Chapel Hill) and the Certificate of Entrepreneurial Recognition from FastTrac© Growth Venture™. I earned my professional coaching certification from the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching (iPEC).
My Career Turns.
My career has included being named a Lead Teacher for national researchers in early childhood education, Employment Counselor and Communications Specialist for Ga Dept. of Labor, Consultant for National Job Service Improvement Program, Change Agent and Program Specialist for US Dept. of Labor, Human Resources & Benefits Manager for a specialty steel company in PA and DE, Business Development Manager for Toshiba Power Systems, Sales agent for 401K insurance plans, Associate Publisher for nationally circulated magazine in pharmaceutical industry, Business Development Associate for Leadership Training Company (PML) and co-founder of this consulting and coaching business, Innovative Business Partners, Inc. There are no straight lines in my resume!
Where Is My Passion?
Reflections lead me to community involvement in such a way that adds value and improves life for everyone. In Pennsylvania, I co-founded the Chadds Ford Business Association to give a civic voice in the business community; I served on the historical commission for the local township, I served as co-chair for a major fundraiser and large 2-day event for the Chadds Ford Historical Society. In South Carolina, I co-founded the Women’s Leadership Council and co-chaired the inaugural event of the Women’s Leadership Conference of the Upstate. I currently am serving on the governance committee for the philanthropic group, Greenwood Women Care.
I am passionate about empowering professionals (and their organizations) to examine their purpose and focus on being at their best as they meet life’s challenges.
